For those who haven’t listened to this kind of music yet, they may have heard some information about K-Pop music or the idols when they chat with their intimate friends. Furthermore, if you observe the lifestyle of some students, you can notice that they enjoy the amusement from the K-Pop songs and the touching rhymes. To some extent, the culture of K-Pop not only has become an indispensable part of daily life but has caused three obvious effects for the teenagers in Taiwan.

 

    The first effect from the trend of K-Pop is that the teenagers in Taiwan will spend time observing and discussing the behavior of K-Pop celebrities. Through the social media, teenagers will easily hear of the music and see the shows which performed by K-Pop idols. If teenagers are fond of the idols’ performance on the platform, they may pay more attention to idols’ behavior in their daily lives. Gradually, these teenagers regard the actions and lifestyles of their favorite idols serve as a source of inspiration.. when they pay more attention and see the behaviors, lifestyles of the celebrities, they will imitate what their idols wear, take and say in their daily life since they regard idols as role models. In addition, these teenagers may even judge the self private behavior -performance of the celebrities when they are out ofoff platforms so that they can pursue common values of life from the celebrities. Simply put, since the influence of K-Pop culture, the actions of K-Pop celebrities have influenced the lifestyleactions of teenager in Taiwan.

 

    The second effect from the trend of K-Pop is that K-Pop concerts bring the joy and happiness to  young Taiwanese people during leisure time. As soon as the K-Pop singers announce upcoming concerts in Taiwan, there are numerous young fans tend to participate in the concert. For young fans, attending K-Pop singers’ concerts  is the chance they can interact with their idols in the live performance. Then, during the concert, the youth can throw pressure, negative emotions aside and gain a sense of satisfaction with the touching music their idols sing for them. As a result, the pleasure from the engagement of the K-Pop concerts show that the Taiwanese youth’s passionate attitude for their interest of K-Pop music after the influence of K-Pop.

 

    The third effect from the trend of K-Pop is that students increase willingness to travel to South Korea. After accumulating more experience of listening K-Pop music, some students may curious about the distinctive customs of Korean Culture. For those students who are fascinated by K-Pop songs, it is not enough for them to merely listen to the music and watch videos of K-Pop artists. At this moment, taking a journey is a way to understand the culture which they are not familiar with. Therefore, the students will go to South Korea with their peers so they can get close to the popular culture such as Korean food or costumes which they saw from the images of K-Pop artists. Beyond simply being the consumers of goods, they also realize the background of K-Pop music and practical Korean lifestyle. Therefore, the influence of K-Pop leads a trend of tourism of South Korea and makes the youth gain a deep understanding of Korean culture.     

 

    With the three impacts such as observing the behavior of K-Pop celebrities, gaining happiness from concerts and increasing willingness to travel to South Korea, it is undeniable that the youth who live in Taiwan has accepted a prominent influence from the trend of K-pop. Through the rapid spread of K-Pop culture, the youth tend to spend more time listening to the pop music and then take more action to participate in the activities which related to K-Pop celebrities. Since K-Pop music has accompanied the youth during their spare times and brought the joy to them, what the youth need to do is continue giving support and encouragement for the K-Pop artists who perform in life.
